KATE SIMONDS

Kate Simonds (B.A.) is a User Experience Researcher and Designer at One Stone. After serving on the Board of Directors as Chair of External Communications from 2013-2015, Kate returned to One Stone as a staff member in 2019 to spearhead Idea51’s new user experience research initiative. Over the next eighteen months, she began gathering and aggregating user experience data across One Stone’s external pilots and internal programming, developing a data-driven apparatus to expand and evaluate One Stone’s educational philosophy. Kate is guided by her deep curiosity to understand systems and her passion to help others. While earning a degree in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, Kate conducted research on political psychology and the interconnectedness of ideology and decision making while maintaining roles in educational technology and political media firms.
